Accountability

Accountability, I believe, is one of the most important facets of maintaining an efficient student government. Without holding student representatives accountable for effectively representing their constituencies, ASOSU cannot successfully work towards solving student issues.

Transparency

Accountability cannot be maintained without a transparent student government that actively works to inform students about how it is serving them. ASOSU has struggled to improve transparency for several years, largely due to the insufficiency of updating the current ASOSU website in a timely manner.

Unity and Inclusion

While the role of the Speaker of the House is fairly independent, having a student government that is unified to reach a common good is the only way to effectively create change. In the past, maintaining communication between the House and Senate has been challenging.
